"Flower Power Yoga"

Daybreak Flower Garden and Cosmic Heart Yoga and Wellness, LLC are teaming up for the third summer of “Flower Power Yoga!” A unique class that nourishes the body and soul! This is NOT a "Power Yoga" class, I like to say the Power is in the Flowers ;). This yoga class is designed for cats (not real cats, but cool people like you) of all types, stripes, and levels of yoga experience.

We will start with receiving your own special message from a flower, which you are invited to use as your intention (sankalpa) for an hour-long lakeside flower inspired yoga practice (rain or shine) by serene Shipman Lake. Afterwards, we will choose flowers from the aw-inspiring Daybreak Flower Garden to design your very own Flower Bouquets to take home! This is a class that you helps you to feel GREAT during, after and in the days to come, while you continue to enjoy your bouquet of nature's beauty!

Please pre-register, space is limited! Bring your own yoga mat (extra available). This class is from 6-8pm and is $30. Event location is ~15 minutes southwest of Park Rapids at 56603 194 St, Park Rapids, MN 56470, stay right at the fork and plan to arrive early. Vases will be provided but feel free to bring your own if you wish! Rocket Restorative Yoga with Emily

The Rocket Restorative Yoga class is an 80-minute practice held on Wednesdays from 6:20-7:40. We will start with the "Rocket" which is a warming solar practice, with its roots based in Ashtanga yoga. It is a dynamic, fast-moving series that connects the warming breath with the movements. This class will transition through a few restful and restorative yoga asana poses utilizing props and a bolster. Yogis will be led through a yoga nidra (yoga sleep) meditation in preparation for savasana (final resting pose). We will finish with a meditation practice for a well-rounded full yoga practice. This class is for beginners with some experience through intermediate yogis.

The engaging and warming solar practice helps the practitioner rest more deeply in the restorative practice for a full nervous system reset. This practice helps the body transition from the sympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system to the para-sympathetic so the body and mind can fully rest, digest, assimilate, restore and rejuvenate itself.

The teacher may utilize essential oils, offering eye pillows (which are weighted with therapeutic stones and are scented with relaxing lavender) and hot stones to participants for the last half of the class (never put anything hot on the eyes!) Please let Emily know if you have any sensitivities. Please dress in layers and keep your socks and sweater close by. Keeping the body warm for the last half of the practice is important. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat. If you don't have a yoga mat or forget, we have some you can use! Class is offered as a series is $20 please register through the online portal.
